FOR JULY 6TH, 2024

Race 1

#2 P J Spudland: Was ultra impressive in his career debut, getting up for the victory in 201 flat with a smokin 28/2 closing panel. The 3 year old son of Heston Blue Chip leaves from the same post two and could definitely make it two for two here today.

#1 Party Place: Will make his NB debut after racing exclusively in Charlottetown so far this year. The 3 year old has been pacing consistently in the 2 minute range in PEI & a trip close to that would likely land him on the ticket here today.

#5 Kit: The veteran mare picked up her second runner up finish of the season here on Monday in what was only her fourth start since 2021. She will take on some younger competition however has been working herself into race shape and is definitely a threat with a good trip.

Race 2

#3 Cleveland Mclaren: Will make his New Brunswick debut after racing in Quebec so far this season. The 3 year old son of Mcwicked has a decent post with post three and will look to make an impact in his first start for new connections.

#1 Harryslinecrew: Made her season debut last week in Truro in a sixth place finish. What caught my eye was her qualifying win on 06/21 in a nice clocking of 201/2. A trip close to that puts her in the win conversation.

#4 Silent Movie Star: Was fourth here on Monday in her second start of the year. The daughter of Stonebridge Terror has always been able to bust the gate and should be spotted well early.

Race 3

#3 House Edge Hanover: Was ultra impressive in his 2024 debut in Charlottetown by way of a 155/4 victory with a crazy 27/1 closing quarter. This is basically his race to lose.

#5 Joes Dream Walking: Has a win and a second to his credit so far this year and last time out was clocked in 157 flat in a fifth place finish. He looks to pose the biggest threat to my top selection.

#2 St Barts: Fought the good fight in the stretch here on Monday but had to settle for the runner up finish in the end. It was still an impressive start for the son of Bettors Delight who looks to have a good shot at hitting the ticket again here today.

Race 4

#1 Elm Grove Quest: Has been well traveled thus far this season and has now raced in all 3 Maritime provinces. She hasnt had the best of luck in the post position department lately but that changes today as she draws the pole position for today's contest.

#2 M G Kudos: The teenager comes to NB after a runner up finish in his season debut in a decent mile of 200/2. He draws well with post two and a similar trip to his last puts him in the win conversation.

#5 Rollin Doubles: Grinded out a tough third place finish here in Woodstock on Monday. The son of Roll With Joe draws further out today with post five however he is versatile enough to make it work & can hit the ticket again here today.

Race 5

#2 Littlestitious: The 3 year old daughter of the great Bettors Delight launched a second half assault on the competition on her way to her second win of the season here on Monday. She gets her best post draw of the year thus far with post two to help her cause and what a good time for it.

#4 Wickham: The well travelled daughter of Mcwicked continues her Canadian tour here today in stakes action. From the looks of her lines she has early speed so expect her to be forwardly placed.

#1 Heart Like A Truck: Raced well in a runner up finish on Monday with a nice closing quarter of 28/4. She is back leaving from her favorite post position and is a major player in this contest.

Race 6

#4 Watchmaker: Has been ultra impressive since his return to the races and hasn't missed the ticket in five starts with two victories. The 4 year old makes his first NB start from post four and will look to make it six for six on the ticket.

#1 Mcland: Another 4 year old, this one a son of Mcardle, has been racing well this season mostly south of the border. He has pretty much raced more this season than the rest of the field put together and is definitely in more than mid season form. Rail control doesn't hurt either.

#6 Grand Galop Semalu: The Maine invader comes to Woodstock with top three finishes in nine of eleven this season. The veteran will have to do his work from the outside post six however has been clocking consistent speed & without a doubt can compete at this level.

Race 7

#3 Resuscitate: Will race at his fourth different Maritime track in as many starts and has won 2 of his last 3. Surprisingly post three will be his worst draw in his last five starts however that shouldn't matter and he may still end up driving the bus.

#2 The Wicked One: Had a solid month of June with four tote board appearances in a row and was most recently a winner in wire to wire fashion. He faces some tough competition here today however his good current form is hard to ignore.

#1 Stagenamehercules: Was also a winner in his most recent in Truro in a clocking of 158/3. The son of Stag Party paces consistently sub two minutes and also has a big shot at earning a victory in todays last division of the NB Breeders.

Race 8

#1 A Deals A Deal: Has back to back tote board appearances, the most recent in an extended distance event. The 5 year old already has recorded a win in 157 flat earlier this season and has a couple of charted miles in 54 and change back in May. Throw in rail control and this fella has a big shot to close out a Saturday at Connell Park.

#6 Joe C One Fiveoh: Has got a couple of tighteners under his belt & will make his third start of the year here today. He draws outside with post six however post has never really been an issue to this guy. Don't sleep on him.

#3 Emperor: Completed the drop and pop in fine style with a seven length romp in 200/3 here on Monday. The veteran pacer does move up in class however sometimes those confidence building wins can go a long way.
