Live racing takes place from May - September at Exhibition Park Raceway, Saint John, N.B. One of Canada's oldest half-mile tracks, Horse Racing New Brunswick hosts such premier events as the Walter Dale Memorial Pace, Canada's oldest free-for-all race. Jason Hughes & Mr Irresistible captured the 2018 edition in a season's best 1:56.2.

Opening weekend this year, we held the Dawn Bremner Memorial for three-year-old pacing fillies. Dawn was a tireless volunteer in harness racing serving on numerous boards, in several positions. She and her husband Ted, also were involved in the breeding industry and bred stake winners Pipe Major & Rose Valley.

This year we paid tribute to Milton Downey in the inaugural running of the Milton Downey Stakes for two-year-olds. It was fitting to honor the memory of Milton, a longtime breeder, builder, owner, trainer and driver and true ambassador of the industry in New Brunswick.

Our track record for pacers is held by Big League and driver Dale Spence Jr as he paced the half-mile oval in 1:53.4.

We also offer seven day a week simulcast events daily from the biggest track's in North America including Woodbine. Check the simulcast tab on this website for your monthly calendar of tracks and times.
